Thanks to everyone who came to support our second annual table quiz in Stokers Lodge on Friday 19th October. We had a great turnout and a great night. A huge thank you also to all those who donated prizes and made the raffle such a success. Congratulations to Brian Fitz and co. on their win. And a final thank you to our quiz master Sean Lyons who did a fantastic job.
There’s a nip in the air telling
us that our beautiful summer is well and truly over. So there’s nothing to be
done now but look forward – to the crisp days of autumn and the cosy nights in
by the fire. Well except for Wednesday nights when we’ll all be in Collis
Sandes House singing our hearts out. Our first night of rehearsals was last
week and it was so good to see the brilliant turnout of new and old members.
Thanks to the ladies who provided the tea and biscuits, it was a lovely way to
catch up and ease ourselves back into practice. Don’t worry if you missed last
Wednesday, new and returning members are always welcome. Practice tonight is at
7:30 p.m. (but if you’re new, come a little earlier, say 15 to 10 minutes) in
Collis Sandes as usual.
Watch this space in the future,
for announcements of concerts and other fund-raising events!

The orchestra last visited Tralee as guests of Kerry Choral Union in 2006. They will share a stage together again on Wednesday 12th October 2016 in The Rose Hotel Tralee. “This concert will be a wonderful opportunity for any student of a stringed instrument to experience” said Joe Cotter of Kerry Choral Union, “We are delighted to welcome our friends-in-music back to Tralee and look forward to a wonderful evening of music and song together. We are very grateful to our sponsors The Rose Hotel and Collis Sandes House for supporting us and making it possible to bring this concert to the town.”
Recovery Haven is a fantastic organisation in Kerry that helps people who have cancer by offering them counselling, alternative therapies and a host of other services. We were delighted to sing at their fundraising event in the Wetlands in Tralee, County Kerry.
