Recovery Haven is a fantastic organisation in Kerry that helps people who have cancer by offering them counselling, alternative therapies and a host of other services. We were delighted to sing at their fundraising event in the Wetlands in Tralee, County Kerry.
We have 3 concerts lined up for the Christmas Season 2015.
November 29th in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Currow, Castleisland.
December 6th in Ballybunion.
December 19th in St John’s, Castle Street, Tralee.
On Saturday 5th September, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in St. Brendan’s Pastrol Centre, Upper Rock Street, Tralee, we will be holding auditions for new members of the Junior Choir.
There is a change this year in that people will be required to book a time slot for their audition. This, it is hoped, will facilitate an orderly running of the auditions with less waiting around for the parents and children. Telephone 087-4412700 to book a time slot.
Our Junior Choir sang at a fundraiser for Derryquay National School. Here they are singing ‘Let it go’ from the Movie ‘Frozen’.
Ardfert Medieval Festival took place on June 7th this year and Kerry Choral Union were invited to participate. Our junior and senior choirs sang in Ardfert’s 13th century cathedral. It had been raining all week and we thought it would be a wash out, but by some miracle the weather cleared for the day and we ended up singing to a full house in glorious sunshine.
